Poland

Poland is a country located in Central Europe.[14] It is divided into 16 administrative provinces, covering an area of 312,696 square kilometres (120,733 sq mi), and has a largely temperate seasonal climate.[8] With a population of nearly 38.5 million people, Poland is the fifth most populous member state of the European Union.

The economy of Poland is an industrialized, mixed economy with a developed market that serves as the sixth largest in the European Union (EU) and the largest among the former Eastern Bloc members of the EU.

Poland is one of the safest countries in the World with long tradition of hospitality and tolerance. It is perfect place to study. It offers perfect infrastructure and opportunities to start professional career. 

Gliwice

Gliwice is the westernmost city of the Upper Silesian metropolis, a conurbation of 1.9 million people, and is the third-largest city of this area, with 178,603 permanent residents as of 2019. It also lies within the larger Upper Silesian metropolitan area which has a population of about 5.3 million people and spans across most of eastern Upper Silesia, western Lesser Poland and the Moravian-Silesian Region in the Czech Republic.

It is one of the major college towns in Poland, thanks to the Silesian University of Technology, which was founded in 1945 by academics of Lwów University of Technology. Over 20,000 people study in Gliwice. 

Gliwice is an important industrial center of Poland. Following an economic transformation in the 1990s, Gliwice shifted from steelworks and coal mining to automotive and machine industry.

Silesian Univeristy of Technology

Silesian University of Technology is the oldest technical university in Upper Silesia and one of the largest in the country. Established in 1945 as a scientific and didactic base for the most industrialized district in Poland. 
Currently, SUT educates over 18 thousand students and offers Bachelor and Master studies, doctoral school and post-graduate studies. University graduates often hold managerial and directorship positions as well as high positions in industrial corporations, as evidenced by numerous rankings conducted by independent research centers. The extensive didactic offer and high quality of education make the Silesian University of Technology one of the top Polish technical universities for years, as evidenced by high places in university rankings.

Portugal

​Portugal, one of the oldest countries in Europe, is located in the southwest of the Iberian Peninsula lying between Spain in the north and east, and the Atlantic Ocean in the south and west. The signs of the Portuguese presence around the world are still visible and this is the reason why Portuguese is one of the most spoken languages worldwide and the Portuguese are one of the peoples more open to other civilizations.

The economy of Portugal is ranked 34th in the World Economic Forum's Global Competitiveness Report for 2019.

Lisbon

Lisbon is the capital and the largest city of Portugal, with an estimated population of 505,526[1] within its administrative limits in an area of 100.05 km sq. Lisbon's urban area extends beyond the city's administrative limits with a population of around 2.0 million people, being the 10th-most populous urban area in the European Union. About 2.8 million people live in the Lisbon metropolitan area, which represents approximately 27% of the country's population.

Lisbon is recognized as an alpha-level global city because of its importance in finance, commerce, media, entertainment, arts, international trade, education and tourism. It is one of the major economic centers on the continent, with a growing financial sector and one of the largest container ports on Europe's Atlantic coast.

Técnico Lisboa

TÉCNICO LISBOA is a public school of engineering and technology, part of University of Lisbon. It was founded as an autonomous school in 1911. IST is the largest school of engineering in Portugal by number of enrolled students, faculty size, scientific production and patents. It is among the most productive engineering schools in Europe, according to a 2019 ranking.

Técnico aims to contribute to the development of society, promoting and sharing excellence in higher education in the fields of Architecture, Engineering, Science and Technology. Técnico offers Bachelor, Master and PhD programmes, lifelong training and develops Research, Development and Innovation (RD&I) activities, which are essential to provide an education based on the top international standards.
